Collab is pleased to announce the winners of our two most recent writing contests.
Olivia Varghese, a sophomore, won our poetry contest with her poem, “Familiar Stranger“. In this contest, poets had to use words from a preselected list, and Olivia’s poem stood out from the pack in being able to handle this constraint. Congratulations Olivia!
And Dora Kadish, a junior, won our micro-fiction contest with her short short story, “Compliments From Words”. The editing staff was surprised by the incredibly high quality of the entries in the short fiction contest (the lone restriction was a 200-word maximum length), and we expect to see several of these entries in consideration for our 2103 magazine. It is a merit to Dora’s piece that she was able to excel among such difficult competition.
Congratulations to Olivia and Dora!
