2014 Final Thoughts Winners

The judging of the 2014 Final Thoughts Contest has ended, and this year, our winner was Lena Keown’s poem, “Hoboken”. This marks Lena’s second contest victory this year, as she also won our 2013 poetry contest. She will make her first appearance in Collab this spring.

This marks only the second time a poem has won our top prize, and Lena has won $40 in iTunes gift cards. Congratulations, Lena!

Our runner-up this year was Stephanie Desrochers with her autobiographical narrative, “The Timelessness of a School Hallway”. Although Stephanie has made it into Collab several times with her accomplished artwork, this marks her Collab debut as an author.

Our third-place prize this year goes to Wilson Hoac, another Collab debut, for his short story, “Stars”

For their accomplishments, Stephanie will receive $25 off of her senior prom ticket, and Wilson receives a $15 discount for his 2014 yearbook. Congratulations to all three winners!
